HIGH ALTITUDE BALLOON WORKSHOP

 to promote Student Research Engagement with NASA for Grades 3—12

SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS EDUCATION INSTITUTE  FORT HAYS STATE UNIVERSITY

 

  • Teacher in-service Workshop delivered virtually (February 22, 23 March 1, 2, 2022 at 4:30-5:30 pm)
  • Face to face Teacher Workshop and Flight with Arduino Coding and payload construction (March 12-13, 2022)
  • Individual school-based work by student/teacher research teams (late March/early April 2022)
  • Virtual mentoring of students and teachers by FHSU HAB team
  • Analysis and sharing data through a virtual poster session prepared by student teams (April 2022)
  • Teacher participant stipend $800
  • Teacher lodging and travel stipend $400
  • Workshop materials and supplies will be provided for student payload design
  • Limited to first 12 registrants
  • Deadline to register February 9, 2022
  • Registration fee $20 (non-refundable)
